Figure 3: Effect of extract N. laciniosa KUFC 7896 and N. fischeri KUFC 6344 on DNA damage in (a) human colorectal carcinoma cell line, (b) human malignant melanoma cell line and (c) human breast adenocarcinoma cell line cells evaluated by comet assay. Results are the mean ± standard deviation at least three independent experiments. Significant differences (*P = 0.05 and **P = 0.01) when compared with negative control were determined by one-way ANOVA, followed by the post-hoc Dunnett's test. Additionally, a Student' t-test was selectively used to access significant differences in human colorectal carcinoma cell line (N. laciniosa KUFC 7896), human malignant melanoma cell line (doxorubicin) and human breast adenocarcinoma cell line (doxorubicin) in relation to the respective control.
